Grounding Meditation
Grounding is essential for
spiritual work. It centers your awareness in your body, brings your
attention to the here and now, gathers and balances all your energies, and helps
you focus.

Reiki
1. Sit on a comfortable chair, back straight and feet flat on the floor.
Close your eyes.
2. Focus on your breathing, then scan your body releasing any tension that
you find there.
3. Imagine you are surrounded by golden light. Breathe in this light
until your body and aura is filled with it.
4. Begin to picture small roots growing out of your feet, feel them
growing and extending down through the floor and down into the Earth. Feel
these roots extending right down to the center of the Earth, firmly connecting
you to it.
5. As you breathe in, imagine that you can breath through these roots,
drawing up energy from the Earth with each breath in, until you are filled with
it's energy.
6. Now imagine a small hole opening in the top of your head. From
this hole fibers begin to emerge, like branches of light reaching up through the
ceiling and into the sky. Imagine this fibers connecting to the Sun and
the stars and the planets.
7. As you breathe in, breath in the energy of the Heavens, drawing it down
through the fibers and into your body, filling your body with light.
8. Now breathe in both energies, up from the Earth and down from the
Heavens, allowing them to weave together and fill your body, centered in your
heart.
9. When you feel ready, let the image fade and once again become aware of
where you are sitting and the room around you, open your eyes and stretch.
